Colorful and expressive : UV Topcor 1:4 f=28mm Tokyo Kogaku

Cost: $20 (market price $20 or more)

UV Topcor 1:4 f=28mm Tokyo Kogaku

Now that I have completed my collection of UV Topcor lenses, you can expect a few more reviews of this series. Again, it was a pleasure to shoot with this lens. Not having an aperture ring on the lens itself, but on the body or in this case the adapter, keeps on making it an adventure, as the adapter does not include any markings for f-stop. Most of the pictures were taken with the f-stop somewhere in the middle, like f8 or f12.

Also this lens has the same sharp and clean appearance of the other lenses in this collection. again with a black and brushed metal look.

The lens itself provides again a decent image quality, not fantastic, but rich colors, ok sharpness and some color aberration, but noting Lightroom could not fix. A pleasure to take pictures with.

As with the previous reviewed lens, the 35mm, we see strong flares when directing to the son.

It's not a great lens, but good enough to keep and protect it from the future.
